Do you think Everton will have flags for the linesman or will we have to resort to the red and yellow cones that we used in Manchester last week? I really missed that unique material sound of the flag being raised and waved just prior to someone shouting “Dad, just who is the linesman?” It wasn’t the same somehow. I was sorely tempted to say he was “Coneman the Barbarian” but I suspect that might have aged me just a little bit too much.
